Also Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, premier birding site; Mount HalimunNational Park, with gibbons, leaf monkeys, bird species seldom seen elsewhere; Karimun JawaMarine National Park; Meru Betiri National Park, lowland rain forest with leopards, banteng,armored pangolins (Java tigers were last spotted here); Baluran National Park, with grasslandsreminiscent of Africa or Australia, large herds of grazing mammals, lush birdlife, driving route; Pulau Dua, major sanctuary for coastal seabirds, off Banten., major sanctuary for coastal seabirds, off Banten.
